Anyone who has ever broken out knows how annoying a random pimple can be. Also known as spots or zits, pimples are a part of acne. They are most likely to occur around puberty, but they can happen at any age.
According to Medical News Today, pimples develop when sebaceous glands, or oil glands, become clogged and infected, leading to swollen, red lesions filled with pus. Pore blockage is more likely to occur during puberty, as the sebaceous glands produce more sebum at this time.
Acne-type breakouts have also been linked to yeast infections. Most people have this yeast on their skin, but if too much develops, it can cause a problem. Humid, sweaty environments, clothes made of synthetic fibers, and the use of oily skin products can all make this worse. Antifungal treatment is needed in the case of Malassezia.
There are many causes of pimples, thus, different types of pimples as well. Read more here on the Healthline Blog on the types of acne and how to treat them.
While seeing a dermatologist is the only way you can receive a full and accurate diagnosis of your acne, dermatologists recommend one of the best methods proven get rid of a pimple overnight is by adding a spot treatment to your routine,
If you’re more concerned with treating a single stubborn zit than looking for products to prevent them from appearing in the first place, make sure you have a spot treatment on hand.
While there are tons of over-the-counter acne spot treatments on the market, NYC-based board-certified dermatologist and Galderma consultant Dr. Michelle Henry advises on looking for acne products with the ingredients salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide—salicylic acid penetrates and clears out pores while benzoyl peroxide plays a role in treating the bacteria that causes acne.
But what about using an astringent to get rid of your pimple overnight?
An astringent works best on oily skin and helps to reduce acne and more. It is typically applied after cleansing. However, astringents can be drying, and may further irritate breakouts, leading to peeling and additional redness. Thus, instead of using an astringent for your whole face, why not try a spot treatment?
I tried the ROSEN Skincare Breakout Treatment to get rid of my pimple and it works overnight (or up to a few more nights depending on your pimples) It is a powerful astringent, with its main ingredient being Zinc Oxide. Scroll down for my honest review.

About My Skin: Oily Skin, Prone to Hormonal Acne & Fungal-Acne
I have oily skin, and have never had adolescent acne. However, in my young adult years, I developed breakouts because of mixing each and every skincare product that came my way.
I got treated from this and my skin is stable now. However, I tend to suffer hormonal acne especially towards the time I have my periods.
Also, I tend to have fungal acne that worsens when I use very rich creams or eat too much dairy.
When I don’t care for my skin, especially exfoliate it, my pores get clogged and really visible. Again, friction on my face probably due to hair touching my skin causes me to develop pimples that are filled with pus.
Ingredients: Simple Forumlation & A Powerful Astringent
The key ingredient in the ROSEN Skincare Break-out Treatment Spot is Zinc Oxide that provides such powerful astringent properties.
The second key ingredint is peppermint (Mentha Piperita) oil that acts as an anti-microbial on large and active bumps.
This breakout paste definietly has such a simple formulation. If I tell you that it dries out a pimple overnight, you will believe that it is indeed a powerful astringent. (See my results below)
Feel & Texture: Thick Paste
This breakout cream has a very thick consistency, In its forumation, xanthan gum is used as a thickening and stabilizing agent. And indeed, it gives the paste such an effect.
Packaging: Product Dries Up Too Quicky
This paste comes in a tiny 11ml glass bottle; and with an applicator tip to help apply a small amount of the spot treatment directly to a bump.
The con about this product is that it tends to dry out very quickly, even in its glass bottle; and that means, you might never really get to use all of the product.
If your product is really dried out, you can barely even open the bottle because it can get so crusted on the top. It might even fall out as a thick crust depending on how dried up it is.
I’m glad that my product was not fully crusted; just a small quantity was.
So, remember no to expose it to air for long as it might dry up even quicker. Instead, every time you use it, cover the bottle up quickly then apply the product on the intended area.
Scent: A Fresh Mint Kick
The product smells really fresh and minty, so I enjoy the scent during application.
For $12, this is a good buy. The only issue is when your product is really dried. In this case, you can request an exchange on items of equal or lesser value within 30 days of delivery of purchase.
You must ship back the original item and will receive the new item once the original is received..
I don’t have too much bumps, and they only pop out occassionally. Thus, the product might stay longer for my case. However, if your face is fully acneic, you might need a few more bottles perhaps to treat each individually.
The applicator tip makes it easy to apply the product exactly on a bump, and not to sorrounding areas on your face.
To use it, I cleanse my face and do my complete skincare routine. This is always my last skincare step since I never want to soread the product to other areas on my skin.
When applying, ensure the bump is fully covered and no skin is visible through the treatment as it should be opaque.

Results: Pimple Dried Out Overnight!
This product works great as a spot treatment which is what it is! I apply it directly on a bump and go to bed, waking up to a dried-out scab that falls out. You might actually find little flakes on your pillow.
In the case your bump isn’t fully faded overnight, try a few more uses and watch your bumps fade.
DO NOT go face-crazy and apply the paste all over his face because it might be very irritating; even if you have bumps all over your skin. Just treat each bump individually!

My Verdict: Go-To For Pimples!
Can you get rid of a pimple overnight? Yes!
This Break-out cream by ROSEN Skincare zapped a couple of the pimples on my face to nearly nothing overnight! Now I know how to deal with the hormonal acne that pops out on my chin.
Personally, once the pimple is dried out, I apply a Vitamin C serum along the area to just brighten the skin as it is usually slightly darker with spots. They then fade in a few days.

Use Hydrating Products to Strengthen Your Skin Barrier
Whether you have oily skin like me or acne-prone skin, it is recommended to layer with more moisture, as this may actually help balance your skin’s oil production and limit the number of zits that pop into view.
Even as you focus on treating their acne with a spot treatment, it’s important to also take care of the rest of your face to keep your skin barrier strong. Thus, a great, lightweight moisturizer, for instance with Hyaluronic Acid can help improve hydration and keep the skin looking radiant.
Well, how do you get rid of a pimple overnight? Have you tried this Break-out cream by ROSEN Skincare?
