1. Install WPForms Plugin
The very first step is to install the WPForms plugin on your WordPress website so that you may access it. Upload, install and then activate it on your WordPress website.
2. Create a Form in WordPress
After installing and activating WPForms, click on WPForms and then on Add New.
Now, enter your form name.
There are many pre-designed templates that you can choose to create your form.
Suppose, a form for Job Application is needed and you choose it as your template. It comes with different fields.
On the left side, there are many bars that you can add in your form by simply clicking, dragging, and dropping on the right side.
By hovering over any section of the form, you can delete the section that is not required by you.
You can add as many sections in your form as you want.
3. Add Page Break in the Form
To do this, drag and drop Page Break from left-hand bar to right-hand bar. Place the Page Break wherever you want to place it in your form.
You can break your form into as many pages or parts as you want. But do not overuse this feature. Keep your form relevant and precise to retain the audience and increase your conversion rate.
4. Customize the Progress Bar
The Progress Bar helps users know about the different sections of the form. Through this, they might know how many sections they have filled, and how many are left behind for them to fill. To put it in simple words, Progress Bar shows the progress of the form.
On the first page, you will find the progress bar. Click on it to see further settings.
WPForms has three different breadcrumb style indicator bars for Multi-page forms. It provides more customization and easiness.
A connector shows the connecting bar and page title of each page of the multi-page form.
A Circle indicates one circle and page title of each page of the multi-page form.

A progress bar shows the progress of the user to indicate how many pages he has filled, and how many are left for him to fill.
You can also customize the color of Page Indicator by hovering over the “Page Indicator Colour” bar.
You can also customize the Page Title of each page.
If you want to show the “Previous and Next” Button on your form, WPForms allows you to do so.
5. Set up Notification Settings
Notification Setting enables us to set the setting in a way that every time one fills a form on the website, the admin will receive the notification via an email.
Make every necessary change to your notification settings as per your requirement accessing this page.
6. Customize Confirmation Page
Once a visitor submits a form on your website, the Form Confirmation message is the next step he sees after submitting the form. This lets them know that the form’s been submitted, and they can further explore.
You can customize it. WPForms has 3 confirmation types.
- Show Page
- Go to URL
Click on Save to save the form.
7. Add the Form to the Website
Now that form is complete, it’s time to add it to the WordPress website.
To do this, create a new page. Click on the WPForms widget. Choose your form that you want to add.
Save all the changes and publish the page.
